Chalkhill is the ecological consultancy wing of Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, carrying out professional contract work. All profits are covenanted to the Trust and its conservation work.

Our consultants are both in-house and drawn from a network of experienced, specialist sub-contractors. Their expertise covers a wide range of habitats and species. Additional specialist input, information and technical review is provided by the relevant expert within the Trust. 

Business Activities and Specialisms

We provide specialist advice on and carry out : 

• Environmental project management
• Wildlife surveys including protected species (eg bats, crayfish, newts, slow worms)
• Site management and enhancement
• Habitat design and creation (including wildlife gardens)
• Ecological research
• Facilities and materials for people, education and interpretation including special needs.

Chalkhill also sub-contracts its services to other members of the Association of Wildlife Trust Consultancies, to other consultants and to multi-disciplinary projects, both locally and nationally. For example, present staff have particular wetland expertise.
